I’ve always been blessed in the chest department but I didn’t realize the havoc that breastfeeding would play on the girls. I’m starting to feel like I would fit in a National Geographic photo shoot of some remote village in a quiet country where they have not discovered bras.
Anyhow, while I would never get implants, I couldn’t help but notice all the celebrities out there who, in an attempt to stay young forever, end up getting enough work done to put the Million Dollar Man to shame. I guess if you have time, the inclination and the money why not? Although if you’re on a budget it might be difficult to get the procedures you want done. When you compare the breast implants prices in the US to other countries, I can see why you would look at getting plastic surgery done at hospitals out of the country. You could probably get nose job, tummy tuck and more for the prices I’ve seen out there.
Anyhow, I wish someone had told me that a side effect of breastfeeding would be a change in the girls. My Aunt once told me that this would happen but I ignored her because she has a habit of saying crazy things all the time. My cousin followed her advice and has formula fed all of her children and yes, her girls look the same. I would never change the blessing of being able to nourish my son and I would do it all again regardless of the fact that I’m not as perky as I was before. Please don’t assume that I am putting down moms who formula feed – I’m not. I thanked the Universe for formula when I could not nurse my son after his birth. But for now, I’ll do what I’m sure all new moms do and just invest in better bras.
