“Special thanks to Publishers Clearing House for sponsoring today’s discussion”
“I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting sponsored by Publishers Clearing House. I received a product sample and promotional item as a thank you for participating.”
I’ve got a weakness for sweepstakes and contests and I’m pretty sure it all started when I was a kid and saw my first Publisher’s Clearing House Commercial. What’s not to like about a group of happy people with lots of balloons and a big fat check knocking on your door? My parents often entered their sweepstakes and I would often sit watching the front door for the Publisher’s Clearing House van.
Founded in 1953 by Harold and LuEster Mertz, Publisher’s Clearing House has awarded over $240 million dollars in prizes. They have a new sweepstakes where you can win $5,000 a week FOREVER. Now , let’s get into the nitty grity of forever. What this means is you win $5,000 a week for life and then you get to pick one person to receive that prize after you pass. Last year’s winner was John Wyle of White City, Oregon and I’m hoping that another Oregonian – me- wins this year.
Please believe that I entered and I’m spending time visualizing them knocking on my door in August. Now what would I do with this much money? I’d pay off my student loan and mortgage first. Then I’d buy Mr. Bejelly the Toyota Tacoma TRD he talks about daily and I mean daily. The Little would go to private school and I’d remodel my house from top to bottom and upgrade my camera gear. I would start a charity to help lower income people get vet care for their pets. Honestly, I could go on forever but let’s just say a lot of awesomeness would happen in the Bejelly household. Of course, I would leave this prize to Little to enjoy when I’m gone. It would be nice to know that he’s well taken care of after I go on to the great egress.
You too can enter Publisher’s Clearing House “Win $5,000 a Week” Sweepstakes. If you won, what would you do with the money?
